What does it mean to become a member of Every Child Counts?
As a member of Every Child Counts, you can expect to receive a variety of advocacy tools, which include:
- Policy statements and positions on issues that affect children, based upon evidence of the most effective practices toimprove children's success;
- Updates on legislation affecting children, on both the federal level and the state level;
- Advocacy Alerts recommending Network responses;
- Training sessions on children's issues and child advocacy;
- Advocacy tools; and
- Resources to distribute at community forums.
Every Child Counts staff provide members with materials to advocate on behalf of children and families.
What role do members have?
- Keep up-to-date on children's issues and keep others up-to-date;
- Respond and take action on advocacy alerts;
- Help Every Child Counts convene a community forum or meeting;
- Provide Every Child Counts materials to others in the community;
- Enlist others to join the Network;
- Shapeorlead a local agenda for children;
- Visit the Every Child Counts website.
